What is "Think Transatlantic"?

Initiated by the German Information Center USA, the center for public diplomacy at the German Embassy in Washington, the Think Transatlantic campaign aims to stimulate discussion about the historic importance and stability of the German-American partnership and its relevance for the future.
Aptly entitled "Think Transatlantic: The United States & Germany in the 21st Century", this campaign seeks to promote dialogue among students and to exchange theb knowledge of best practices on building upon past transatlantic successes with new initiatives.
In a set of different events related to the German-American partnership including campus conferences, roundtable discussions with transatlantic guest speakers, essay contests, accompanying cultural festivities and many other projects, the students at participating universities will debate the different facets of our friendship and provide suggestions for the future.
The Think Transatlantic campaign is being organized at 25 colleges and universities throughout the United States.
